About The Project:

Abstracting and indexing of the research journals provides a bibliographic database used for information retrieval, also have a great importance for journals being introduced and recognized. An essential factor for the success of a quality is an online index. Today most of the searches are done online. It is imperative that the research journals are presented in relevant online search system for getting its due place in the academic world. With the dawn of the electronic era, hundreds of online abstracting and indexing services have been established providing the listing of Journals’ search facilities. Various A & I (Abstracting and Indexing) services in almost every major academic language of the world already exists but unfortunately for the journals published in Urdu and Arabic languages, there are no sufficient availability of such A & I services even in native countries of these languages.
This project is designed to construct and provide A & I Services to the journals published in the discipline of Islamic Studies especially giving priority to those published in Urdu and Arabic Language.
The Islamic studies journals, especially in Urdu and Arabic, are being indexed to facilitate open access to the archives of selected journals. The service will facilitate those journals which fulfill the required criteria of selection i.e. ISSN No., Abstract, Research Based Editorial Board etc.
